Except for “Heath Ledger is the Joker” (http://www.michelravey.com/heath-ledger-as-the-joker/), I had no recreation of a DC comics cover or character. Also, as I hadn’t drawn many superwomen so far, Wonder Woman was an obvious choice. It was important for me to take my time to make sure the result was OK, as I wanted WW to look good and somewhat loosely like a stronger Megan Fox. The city in the background and the textures were obtained going back and forth between Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. All fonts were done in Illustrator and the painting in Photoshop. I had absolutely no idea how to render the shiny metal armor parts when I got started, and WW’s face was a struggle when I painted it in 2012. Thankfully I got better somewhere in the meantime as it was a lot easier for the last-minute addition of the upper left corner face and to complete the drawing this summer 2014.
A part “Heath Ledger is the Joker” (http://www.michelravey.com/heath-ledger-as-the-joker/), je n’avais aucune re-création d’une couverture ou d’un personnage DC comics. Wonder Woman était également un choix évident alors que je n’avais pratiquement pas non plus de super-héroïnes. C’était important pour moi de prendre le temps qu’il faut pour que WW soit bien réussie et ressemble vaguement à une Megan Fox en plus forte. La ville dans le fond et les textures sont obtenues par des allers et retours entre Adobe Illustrator et Photoshop. Les typos sont faites dans Illustrator et la peinture dans Photoshop. Je ne savais absolument pas comment m’y prendre pour le rendu des parties brillantes et métalliques de l’armure, et peindre son visage en 2012 était un peu une bataille. Heureusement, quelque part dans l’intervalle je me suis amélioré et c’était plutôt facile cet été 2014 de rajouter au dernier moment le visage en haut à gauche et de finir.
